Jeff Shapack - Impact Award Winner Shapack Partners

Jeff Shapack moved to Chicago two decades ago and developed iconic retail properties, including Barneys New York on Oak Street and Apple in Lincoln Park. He is the founder and CEO of Shapack Partners, a Fulton Market District-based, multi-asset class real estate development company that acquires, develops, repositions, and invests in properties and neighborhoods in Chicago. With his expertise in acquisition, development, design, leasing, and brand creation, Shapack focuses on office, residential, hospitality, retail, and restaurants.

In 2010, Jeff began acquiring properties in Chicago’s Near West Side, and by 2014, Shapack Partners created Fulton Market District with Soho House Chicago serving as the neighborhood’s catalyst. Jeff was instrumental in transforming Fulton Market District into a Central Social District, bringing innovative brands, hotels, start-ups, and headquartered companies centered on food, design, hospitality, art, culture, technology, and commerce to the neighborhood. Shapack’s projects include Soho House Chicago, WeWork Fulton Market flagship, The Parker Fulton Market, The Hoxton Hotel, 811 Fulton, Momotaro, Shake Shack, and 167 Green (a 750,000-square-foot office building with an NBA sized basketball court). Shapack continues to develop in Fulton Market District and other Chicago neighborhoods.

Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a board member of World Business Chicago and SoCal Food Allergy. In addition, he is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and a strategic advisor to C.H.A.M.P.S. Male Mentoring Program and the No More Violence campaign on Chicago’s South and West sides. Jeff lives on Chicago’s north shore with his wife and three daughters.
